Boston at the Holidays

Anyone who knows me knows that I pretty much hate cold weather, and I live in Massachusetts because I love summer and fall.

I think snow is really pretty, but then I want it to go away.  Which is why two weekend’s big snow was perfect- we got about 6 inches of snow on the South Shore, and then it was 57 the next day and it all melted!

The weather warmed up by the afternoon, so I headed into town to see the lights on Beacon Hill with one of my favorite friends.

The pictures don’t do it justice.  It was just gorgeous!!

After slipping, sliding, snapping (pics) and spying (into windows of these dream homes from afar), we walked over to the Common, where the lights along the outside of the parks were so festive.  I had driven my parents and sister through this area the previous week, and I wanted to come back to take pictures.

After snapping some gorgeous holiday photos, we headed to Town Pool’s popup on Boylston for the Nantucket Night party.

Preppy indoor mini golf, anyone?
Are you for sale?  Because I like you!
After I said goodbye to Alex, it was on to Eataly for some late night cheese and condiment shopping.
The score from Eataly!

As it was after 11, I headed home happily, knowing that I had a tree to decorate the next day and thinking of my magical night in Boston.  And also knowing that the snow would melt the next day!
