Happy Halloween! I look forward to fall and everything leading up to Halloween every year. That includes apple picking, visiting a pumpkin patch, decorating, going to farms and markets for fall produce, eating everything and drinking everything pumpkin flavored and watching a ton of Halloween themed and scary movies.
Here are a few that I watch every year.
Halloween – The ultimate classic for me. The music. The suspense. I also watch Halloween II and III-V, mainly on the AMC Halloween movie marathon.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmbvdeG49MI]Carrie – “They’re all gonna laugh at you.” Such great, campy 70’s horror. What a great job Sissy Spacek does. And that scare at the end is one of the best scares of any movie.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xe0BayQQuc?rel=0&controls=0&showinfo=0]Killers Klowns From Outer Space – Terrible acting, super cheesy 80’s music and clothes, and giant, creepy clowns. What’s not to love? Not really scary, unless you are terrified of clowns.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv3p8kIyqLI]Hocus Pocus – the best Halloween movie of the 90’s. Not scary, even by the account of my 7 year old niece. Such a great cast! And, no, there should not be a remake or a sequel.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOtEdhKOMgQ]Night of the Creeps – Another lesser known 80’s movie with killer slugs from outer space, a 50’s throwback, sorority girls and frat boys and the guy from Halloween III. Also, Rusty from European Vacation is the star.

The Exorcist: Truly creepy to the core. Another 70’s classic. Linda Blair as Regan is the scariest female kid in a horror movie.

This is just my little list of favorites for around Halloween. I watch horror movies all year ’round, so please do not judge!
