Nantucket Christmas Stroll 2014 – Love At First Visit

I FINALLY made it to Christmas Stroll.  I am so glad that I did!!  I have never been, have wanted to go for about 10 years, and this year, I actually got it together in time to go.

My friend Beth and I grabbed a 11 a.m. ferry and were there by noon.

First stop:

The Nantucket Whaling Museum for the Festival of Trees

There were so many spectacular trees, but my favorite was the singing Sound Of Music tree.  The pictures do not come close to showing its awesomeness.  I cannot wait for my trip to Austria in 2015!!

There were trees along the streets as well

The clothing was spectacular as well- sadly, I did not get a lot of shots, as we were dodging rain all day and it turned into a torrential downpour at night.

So many awesome things about this picture, but the best is that the squid tree is holding the pole with its tentacle!

The shops did not disappoint!  And no one told me that there were discounts up to 60%!!

First stop: Petticoat Row

Nantucket Country Antiques: I want this print!!

Smores in the alley to the hat shop.  Delish!

Lunch to balance out the sugar intake at Brotherhood of Thieves. We had planned on the Boarding House, but they stopped serving at 2:30.  Not to self.  As did fine, as you can see!

We were hoping for better night shots, but it was windy and raining- next year!

And now for the haul:

Adorable wristlet/clutch- reduced to $25.  And the striped lining!!!

Shirts from the Sail Loft- $10 and $15.  If there is a shirt that scream 80’s Nantucket more than this that isn’t from the 80’s, please send me a picture!!

Nantucket casual shirt- $17
From the craft show- this is made from a mold of an antique button!

From Eye of the Needle- Regularly $250, mine for $66.  Coveted from this summer!!  Yes!!  Unbelievable score!

I will add vendors and links as I go through everything.

We were back on the ferry at 6:15 p.m., which was just enough time, as the weather started to get miserable.

We had a great time, and I hope to go back every year!
