I was hoping at first that I would not have to write this post, but, given that most smart people will need to wear a mask out of their house for the foreseeable future, I have rounded up some as-fun-as-they-could-be-during-a-pandemic preppy cloth mask choice.
If you are reading this, you probably already know that these are NOT medical grade, and I am not qualified to make any recommendations on protective gear.
The mask above is from my talented friend Gabi at The Preppy Stitch. She has shifted her business to make masks to donate to local nursing homes and to friends in need. Now she is selling them, and they are monogrammable!
Piping Prints is making the cutest seersucker masks that are embroidered with adorable creatures. Perfect to go with your women’s, men’s or kid’s clothing from them! 20% of sales go to local COVID-19 relief on Nantucket.
My longtime favorite Haley & The Hound has donated well over 2000 masks with another 1500 more coming. They have halted summer production to help those in need, and they will have masks to buy in May. Also, check out their incredible spring sale and their darling spring line!
Hello Dobson has made masks and her cute patterns, and she is donating to local health care workers with every purchases. Bet you cannot guess my favorite?
Paul Landry has been quarantining and making masks for those who need them. I bought my dad one, and what a steal at $7. Pick up one of his lobster shirts while you are at it!
Hingham/Chatham brand Mahi Gold is giving a mask away with purchase, and they are also selling 5 packs and donating 5 masks to those in need when you purchase a set.
Jack Tar Togs has resuscitated an iconic nautical children’s brand and added some adult goodies as well, thanks full for me. They have literally been running all over southwest Florida delivering masks to nursing facilities and others in need. They are only $8, and you can donate a bit for them to make masks for others in need.
Boston and Nantucket brand Remy Creations is making beautiful masks and donating meals to MGH healthcare workers from the sales. Not only does Remy share my niece’s name, but her clothing and taste is impeccable!
Brooke Wright Designs is selling her incredibly happy and fun prints in women’s, men’s and children’s masks. You can also buy a 5 pack. They have cranked out thousands of masks for medical professionals and others in need. Order some for yourself, and pick up a headband for your roots or a bright spring pick, like their green gators on pink print!
I have honestly lost track of how many masks that Tallulah and Poppy have made and donated. They are making great quality, single color masks that go with everything. Their women’s and children’s lines are gorgeous as well!
Pepper Home has done so much to give back. Their masks come in such fun prints. Pick one one and donate so that they can donate more. And grab yourself some table top while you are at it!
Rowing Blazers is the most fun company. Their blazers are amazing, as are their rugby’s and everything else they create. I want every collab that they have ever done. Their masks sold out in a second, but more are being released tomorrow!
