This past Saturday, I was lucky enough to be invited by Taste of Massachusetts to a summer menu tasting at The Fireplace Room at the International in Bolton, MA.
Tucked away in a secluded, beautiful location, it felt like I was let in on a cool secret.I and a bunch of other friendly foodies were treated to a gorge fest of delicious food and drinks.
The Fireplace Room works to source their ingredients locally, which was evident in each of the dishes that we tried!Specialty drinks whipped up for us included a blueberry collins (yum!) and a rum old fashioned.
What a backdrop!! I was told that The International has the longest golf course in the U.S.A.We were treated to samplings of a good portion of the lunch menu.
Chefs Alina Eisenhower and David Bigelbach clearly take pride in their creations and in their presentation.
Given my limited diet, my favorites were the mushroom pizza and the roasted mushroom sandwich, both of which had caramelized onions to die for.
Even though we were all stuffed to the gills, everyone made room for this incredible, fried ice cream dessert. I cannot possibly describe how amazing this tasted.Thank you to Marketing Manager Aaron Testa for being such a great and knowledgeable host, to the chefs for a great spread, to the Fireplace Room for hosting us and to Vincent of Taste of Massachusetts for having us.
